How to Volunteer

What qualities are we looking for in Volunteers?

We are looking for people who are positive, caring, sensitive, energetic, customer - service oriented and have a strong desire to work with our clients.

We invite people who are interested in joining our community of volunteers - some of which who been helping us for over 25 years!

Want to know what to do next?  Follow these easy steps. If you have questions along the way, feel free to contact us!

1.  Complete our online Registration Form

2.  Attend an interview with Volunteer Services.  (Volunteer Services will contact you to schedule the interview and location, once your Registration Form is completed.)  We will discuss your skills and interests, and available volunteer positions.

3.  Provide written documentation of a two-step Mantoux test within the past twelve months, or arrange to have this test done.

4.  Complete a Criminal Reference Check form, which will then be submitted by Volunteer Services.

5.  Provide letter(s) of reference or download the Providence Care Volunteer Services Confidential Reference Request Form and ask your
references to send it to us.

6.  Attend an orientation session.  We will contact you after you submit an application with details. Orientation typically occurs once a month.

7.  Start volunteering with Providence Care!
