The members of the Spiritual Care Department believe in the sacredness and dignity of every human life.Responding to the multifaith needs of those we serve, we commit ourselves to provide quality spiritual care with competence and compassion.

Trusting in and relying on God’s Providence, we strive to empower each other to reach our highest spiritual potential.

What is Spiritual Care?

Spiritual Care is compassionate care that ministers to the whole person – one’s spiritual, emotional, physical and social needs. Spiritual Care respects the sacredness and dignity of every human life and assists in promoting spiritual and emotional healing.  Spiritual Care also helps one discover meaning and hope in life’s difficult circumstances.

We will walk beside you on your journey.

  • Would you like to talk with a supportive person?
  • Do you need help to figure things out?
  • Would you like to pray?
  • Do you want to find meaning in a difficult situation?
  • Would you like to attend worship services?
  • Would you like to share with others in a small group?

Who would benefit from Spiritual Care?

Spiritual Care is available for all Providence Care clients and their families, staff and volunteers.  Spiritual Care ministers to all people, whether or not they have a formal faith tradition, respecting the diversity of each person in an effort to meet an individual’s needs.  Services include visiting, sacramental rites, specific spiritual rituals and necessary referrals.
