The current catchment area includes nine counties in southeastern Ontario: Frontenac, Haliburton, Hastings, Lennox & Addington, Lanark, Northumberland, Peterborough, Prince Edward, and Renfrew.

The Health Services Restructuring Commission has recommended that responsibility for Haliburton, Peterborough, Northumberland, north Lanark, and Renfrew be transferred to other centres and that Leeds and Grenville be added to the Providence Care umbrella. Providence Care is working with mental health providers throughout southeastern Ontario to implement this transfer.
